In case you didn't notice

Ok, let me ask you a question. What do you think are the odds of there being another guy out there in the world who has the same first and last name I do. It's going to happen of course, but there couldn't be too many, my last name isn't all that common. But, what about if that guy is also married to a woman with a similar-sounding Asian first name as my wife? The odds get pretty steep then, right? Now consider this, what do you think the odds are of that couple also having a blog called "The Life and Times of Brian and [wife's name]"? Probably impossible, you might say. And I might have agreed, at least until YT directed my attention to this.

So, much apologies to Brian and Ching and the life and times to which their blog is devoted. We meant no copyright infringement. I guess we'll start working to come up with a new title. If you happen to be hit with a flash of inspiration or a general good idea, please let us know. Until then, we'll just call it "Our Life and Times", since I'm sure that's definitely not already been taken elsewhere. We'll of course assume you know whose life and times are, in fact, under discussion here (Hint: it's not Brian and Ching).

到美國後...一直不知道自己可不可以(因為我是外國人呀)

TFCC tear

昨天骨科復診的結果證實我的手腕韌帶"沒有"撕裂...真的是好險
(醫生show 給我看我的MRI結果..順邊幫我上了一堂手部的解剖課)
不過呢,右手腕的疼痛是來自三角纖維軟骨(Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex-TFCC)受傷

漫長的骨科門診

在美國看醫生真的不像台灣那樣方便
不論從預約到實際看病的日子
一般整個看病過程要半個小時(一般內科)或一個小時(其他專科)

剛剛在電視上看到的
今天半夜(about 12am)在NBC上看到APPLE iPhone 的廣告
廣告裡強調 iPhone能上網的功能

感覺上好像是邁入了人生令一個階段
自從來美國後...生日似乎沒有像在台灣那樣慶祝

討厭的 Windows Vista

建議大家要買新電腦請再三考慮
因為目前新電腦都是配Windows Vista
雖然Vista介面很美(弄得跟Mac好像)

剛剛跟我們系上的IT的人聊到vista跟pitt networking Software的事情
他說其實不是vista的問題,同樣的問題也發生在xp作業系統
是那個很爛的software改變了wireless connection的設定

話說老公是美國人..

假期前-心不在焉症候群

這個星期四傍晚就要開車去OHIO過聖誕節了
雖然耶誕節是歡慶基督的誕生
但是一想到會收到很多禮物 心裡就非常的開心
還會有大襪襪...裡面會裝滿一些小小的禮物...他們叫做stocking
呵呵呵
老公要送我的禮物(似乎是有兩盒)已經擺在我們家聖誕樹下
可是要帶去OHIO在聖誕節當天才能開!!
好期待喔~~~

這個星期整個department也是有過節的氣氛
很多人都在互送小禮物
我也有收到...可是我沒準備禮物耶!!有點不好意思~~
誰叫我是貧窮的博士生...只能做做點心請大家吃
(結果最近還是太忙沒時間做餅乾...shame on me)

期待過節的氣氛已經是存在在空氣裡了
覺得每天吸的氧氣都會讓人變的心不在焉呀~~
這也是為什麼我現在應該是在寫我的paper...
可是卻是在寫我的blog啊!!!
